Safety Checks

Terms:
KILL IT: Or Hand Across The Neck. Means Stop The Beam - Using Shutter Or Any Part Of Your Anatomy Or A Non-Reflective Tool ( Ask Questions Later ).

Next Channel: Waving Hand In A Circlular Motion. Proceed To Next Channel.

Stop: Hand In A Fist. Stop Your Allignment, It Looks Good.

Left, Right, Up, Down: Is Always Referenced When Looking At A Target. Not SR,SL ex: "Move The Beam Left.." Means Left Of That Target Looking At that Target. This is Acheived By Pointing Up, Down, Left, Right, With Hand Or Arm.

Stage: Stage And Stage References i.e. SR, SL, US , & DS Are Referenced As Normal, Unless The Laser Setup Is Remote Off The Main Stage. Then, The Laser Staging Area Becomes The New Reference.

Logos: Confirm all Apperture Labels, Manufacture Label, Danger Logos & Interlock Defeat logos are present and secure.

Allignment:
1) Announce To The Room Before Focus.
"Lasers Are Being Focused, Do Not Look Directly Into Beams".

2) Set Laser To IDLE Position (15 AMP)

3) During Preliminary Alignments, Bring Up Channels On Controller Slowly (2 Count). In Case A Beam Is Pointed Directly At Someone. Tell Anyone Assiting To Cover Their Eyes Or Look Away. Once Beam Is Up All The Way. Tell Assitant, "OK"

4) Always Start Your Mirror Or Effects Slightly Angled Up 10 Degrees Or More. Then, Only After Finding The Beam Then Start To Lower The Focus To A Desired Level (see: FDA Regulations).

5) If At Any Time You Are Unsure Where A Beam Is, Cover The Reflected Beam With Your Hand Immediately. Locate Reflected Beam And Make Necessary Corrections And Continue.

6) After all mirrors are alligned place foamcore cover over projector and cut apperture windows for all beams to exit. Take care that labels are in place.

Note: Focusing Mirrors - Rotate And Tilt All Devices Without Looking At Them. Always Keep Both Eyes On the Laser "Dot", Taking Care Not To Allow Dot To Go Into The Floor Or Near People.


Pre-Show:
Check That All Targets Are Hit And Or Focused On Terminated Areas. Also Fill Out The KLS "
Safety Checklist" And Confrim All Items Are Within Compliance (Located In Workbox In Binder).

Note: FDA - Regulations: 3 Meters ( 10 ft )Vertical Separation, Above Floor, Platfoms or Drum Risers With Human Occupants.
2.5 Meters ( 8 ft ) Horizontal Separation. Also Confirm Copy Of FDA / CFR 21 Is In Workbox. Further Questions Can Be Answered In Sections 1040.10 & 1040.11

Turn Laser To Full Power For Show, Then Back To IDLE Post Show.
